The Red Star business has supported our meetings and we are glad to mention their products.

Red Star Hand Crafted Soaps was formed by Tim & Elaine Woodley in June 2002. They are holders of three trademarks administered by The Vegan Society, The Vegetarian Society and The British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection. Their first liquid soap went on sale in March 2004.

In September 2004, Melinda Coss, founder of The Handmade Soap Company, began working with them on a project to get the liquid soap into the mainstream market. On the 23rd of October 2004, less than eight months after the first liquid soap went on sale, they won VIVA!�s Award for Excellence and Innovation, Best New Vegan Product, at VIVA!�s 10th Anniversary Dinner on the S.S. Great Britain in Bristol.

The name has changed to reflect the new direction and new ranges of liquid soap for dogs and babies are on the way.
